The flagship product of Gramer-Petrulo is podcast production and hosting.

The founder of Gramer-Petrulo, James Newcomb, has been heavily active in the podcasting industry full time since January of 2015. With years of real-live experience producing shows of his own and a worldwide client base, James lives and breathes podcasts and is ready to help you bring your own idea to life.

What makes a good podcast?

Someone who has a compelling message that they are either sharing or feel they need to share and simply need a way of getting that message out to others. A podcast is simply a microphone for someone who is already speaking to share with others.

You might not know the podcast name is actually derived from the iPod. The earliest podcasts were listened on iPods, and so they were just called podcasts, and it's really as simple as that.

In the modern day podcasts take a number of forms. Audio is still the predominant form, but a lot of videos that you see on YouTube, they call themselves podcasts. Of course, they're not consumed on iPods, but give credit to Steve Jobs for grasping a good idea and making it their own.

The Gramer-Petrulo podcasting philosophy

Podcasting unfortunately gets a bad rap in the world of media. It's still considered a bit of a second tier medium because it's very informal in its nature.

The very low barrier to entry dilutes the landscape quite a bit. So it's not considered top tier medium like radio or television.

The low barrier to entry is one of podcasting's benefits, and is also one of its drawbacks.

Literally anyone with a few dollars and a healthy set of vocal cords can start a podcast.

To make a podcast that's worth listening to?

That's where the real work comes in.

Our philosophy at Gramer-Petrulo is get the best of both worlds.

No, you don't need to have a $10,000 studio to operate a high-quality podcast. You can create a perfectly acceptable product in your own home with equipment that costs a fraction of what you might expect a great sounding microphone to cost.

We will guide perspective or even current podcasters through the process of getting the right equipment, narrowing down the right message and pinpointing the right market, or niche that will set you up for success.
